AQH kolekce „Kůrovec“

Skupina AQH připravila pro výstavu Prague Patchwork Meeting kolekci s názvem „Kůrovec“. Zaměření kolekce koresponduje s celosvětovým tématem udržitelnosti přírodních zdrojů a ochrany životního prostředí a zaměřuje se na problematiku kalamity kůrovce. Kalamita kůrovce byla v 21. století jednou z nejhorších kalamit v českých zemích od dob Marie Terezie. Začala již v roce 2015 na severní Moravě, kde kůrovec napadal suchem oslabené smrky. Odborníci odhadují, že kvůli kůrovci zanikne přibližně jedna třetina lesů v České republice. Členky skupiny AQH nejsou k ochraně životního prostředí a udržitelnosti přírodních zdrojů lhostejné, a proto se rozhodly svou tvorbou poukázat na jeden z problémů současnosti.

Skupina AQH novou kolekcí představuje kůrovce neboli lýkožrouta smrkového nikoliv v roli obávaného škůdce, ale jako objekt výtvarného umění. Většina kůrovců si tvoří ve dřevě systém matečných a larvových chodeb, který jej druhově charakterizuje. Z výtvarného hlediska je tento systém kůrovcových chodeb velmi zajímavý, a proto byly využity fotografie tzv. „požerků“ při tvorbě kolekce „Kůrovec“. Fotografie „požerků“ na kůře lesních stromů byly barevně upraveny podle preferencí každé autorky a digitálním tiskem přeneseny na textil. V každém art quiltu je použita fotografie „požerku“ ve velikosti minimálně A3, která je doplněna korespondujícím materiálem převážně přírodního původu. Rozměr quiltů byl stanoven na 50 x 80 cm s obvyklou tolerancí.

Kolekce „Kůrovec“ je již šestou řadou ve společné tvorbě autorek skupiny AQH a rukopis každé z autorek činí z jednotlivých děl nezaměnitelná výtvarná díla. Kolekce je doplněna originálními ukázkami „požerků“ a informacemi o lýkožroutu smrkovém jakož i různých částech kůrovcových chodeb.

AQH collection „Bark beetle“

The AQH group has prepared a collection called „Bark beetle“ for the Prague Patchwork Meeting exhibition. The focus of the collection corresponds to the global theme of sustainability of natural resources and environmental protection and focuses on the issue of bark beetle calamity. The bark beetle calamity was one of the worst calamities in the Czech lands since the time of Maria Theresa in the 21st century. It started in 2015 in northern Moravia, where the bark beetle attacked spruce-weakened spruces. Experts estimate that approximately one third of the forests in the Czech Republic will disappear due to bark beetles. The members of the AQH group are not indifferent to the protection of the environment and the sustainability of natural resources, and therefore they have decided to point out one of the current problems with their work.

With its new collection, the AQH group presents bark beetles or spruce lichens, not in the role of the dreaded pest, but as an object of fine art. Most bark beetles form a system of mother and larval corridors in the wood, which characterizes it by species. From an artistic point of view, this system of bark corridors is very interesting, which is why photographs of the so-called „barks“ were used in the creation of the „bark beetle“ collection. The photographs of „swallows“ on the bark of forest trees were color-adjusted according to the preferences of each author and transferred to textiles by digital printing. Each art quilt uses a photograph of a „swallow“ of at least A3 size, which is complemented by corresponding material of predominantly natural origin. The size of the quilts was set at 50 x 80 cm with the usual tolerance.

The „Bark beetle“ collection is already the sixth series in the joint work of the authors of the AQH group, and the manuscript of each of the authors makes the individual works unmistakable works of art. The collection is complemented by original examples of „swallows“ and information about the spruce lichen-eater as well as various parts of the bark corridors.
